Another creative bud imagined by Terry Crews, Lilypad was designed to be a hybrid lounge chair/table. As I developed the bottom half, another colleague was refining the chair frame. With the chair being a swivel return, leg clearance from the solid wood platform was a point of contention in refining its placement atop the surface.
A man-made stone insert was sourced for a durable surface atop the solid wood platform. Custom attachment brackets were developed for the solid wood legs.
Low clearance between the top surface and the bottom of the chair required additional refinement in the how the seat swiveled on the surface.
Offering the seat placement in both directions, handedness needed to be addressed.
